Airport Security

In his essay Airport Screeners Could See X-rated X-rays, Joe Sharkey writes that he is against new airport screeners that can “see” through someone’s clothes.  However, I think that this new form of security is a great idea.  These machines may be able to look through ones clothing but it is for a cause that should be first in the minds of every person.  This cause is safety for not only yourself but potentially for many other innocent people.  Lets not forget how 9/11 happened and how it effected our nation.  These screeners will prevent a similar event from happening far better than the traditional metal detector and luggage x-ray.  Are you willing to risk the lives of innocent people just because you are insecure with how your body looks? I know I am not. Also you are not the only one who will be going through this machine.  You do not get specially selected because of the way you look.  Every single person who is flying that day will go through the same process as you.  God gave you the same parts as every other girl or guy it is nothing they have not seen before.  If you have something to hide do not fly, it is as simple as that.  They will not remember you specifically just from an x-ray body image and will most likely handle the situation professional.  After all it is there job and if they can not perform it in a professional matter then they should be fired or moved to a different job.
